Come see what it's all about!

Tuesday is the last day to register for this Friday's Stand Up Paddleboarding at 10 a.m. We will meet at the Lodge at 9:20 a.m. to carpool to the Harborwalk. The cost for our lesson plus paddleboard and life jacket rental is $30 per person. NO previous experience of any kind is needed. Participants should wear a bathing suit and shorts. See you then!
New fitness class opportunity: With Wii Bowling season starting next week, we need to adjust our Thursday morning fitness to make room for bowlers. Renee is willing to teach a "Barre" fitness class around the deck of the Indoor Pool on Thursday mornings at 8:30 a.m. It's a creative use of space and will be an experiment to see if it can be done. The barre class is a series of small concentrated movements using a chair like a ballet barre. Please mark your calendar for Thursday, September 11th and come try this alternative class! ($4 at the door)
Please note the "Family Pensions" presentation by Morgan Stanley will be held on Wednesday the 27th at 10:30 a.m. Please register to save a seat. Refreshments will be provided.
On Labor Day, the Lodge will be open from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. The Event Planners' Labor Day Party will begin at 1 p.m. Registration for this event is closed with a wait list. There will be no group fitness Monday morning and no Line Dancing in the evening.
Registration is now open for September's Total Body Tune-Up Class. For September, class will meet for three weeks beginning Monday, September 15th at 10 a.m. Pre-paid registration is $15 for the month and space is limited. Total Body is led by Gina, a personal trainer and physical therapist. Come watch a class to see why residents love this program so much, or sign up today!

CALLING ALL GRANDMOTHERS Do you have a granddaughter 5 years or older who enjoys 18” dolls like American Girl dolls? If so, be sure to bring her and her doll to the Dolly and Me, Fashions and Tea event from 2:00 – 4:00 pm on September 20 at Fields United Methodist Church, 34077 Lorain Road. This tea is a fundraiser for North Ridgeville Community Care and is officially endorsed by the Pioneer Ridge Sunshine Committee as a special events project, a non-profit organization that services the less fortunate of North Ridgeville. This event has come to life through the efforts of many of your friends here at Pioneer Ridge. There will be sandwiches, salads, sweet treats, 15” and 18” doll clothes for purchase by Carol Major, photos by “Precious Pics Photography,” a short talk by Janet Bird of the Lorain County Historical Society depicting dolls of different generations, a parade of dolls, an American Girl Doll raffle, and an exciting variety of items for a Chinese raffle. Admission is $18 for adults, and $12 for children ages 5-12. Ticket order deadline is September 12. There are registration forms on the bulletin board at the Lodge. For more information or tickets, contact Carol Culler, Event Chair, at 440.327.1250 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
Men’s Wii Fall 2014 League Fall season starts Friday, Sept. 5, 2014, and lasts about 16 weeks. Members will bowl at the Lodge every Friday. Start times are 8:30 a.m., 10 a.m., and 11:20 a.m. We finish by 1 p.m. each week. We are seeking four additional 2-man teams to join for the season. We also need substitute bowlers. The season dues are $6 for bowlers and $3 for subs. This is a handicap league and the level of ability is not important. The winning team gets names inscribed on a plaque at the Lodge. And this is a FUN league. Find your own teammate or we’ll help you find one! Questions? Contact Don Westenhofer, Pat Graham or Mike Boyti
Thanks and see you at the Lodge,
